My dear friend Chrissy who lives in Japan gave birth to a beautiful baby Girl on July 19th. Her name is Nao (Pronounced “Nah-oh”) and she is simply adorable. Chrissy, Katherine, Marianne, Rita, and I were suitemates my Junior year at University of Rochester. I remember Chrissy sitting on the couch in our suite carrying on a conversation, watching a movie, and studying Japanese all at the same time. She is one of the few people I know who could truly get work done sitting in front of the TV. She is also one of those friends with whom – no matter how long it has been since you last spoke – you can pick up right where you left off. On the rare occasions when I do get to hear her voice, her laughter brightens my day. I know that she and Eisichii will be wonderful parents. Congratulations across the many many miles Chrissy and E7 and welcome Nao!
