We just got back from Charlotte a little while ago. Cindy’s store, as anticipated, kicks ass. It is in a very cool, pedestrian friendly village and she is surrounded by restaurants and other cool shops. I told many of you that I would take pictures this weekend so you could see it. And I did. Just not with my camera. Because I forgot it. (I KNEW when we left the house on Friday I was forgetting something!) So as soon as Jane sends them to me I will share with you and post on Flickr.
For Mother’s day, Matt, Cindy, Randy, and I gave Jane a family portrait. The only problem was we all needed to get together to have it taken. That finally happened this weekend. As many of you know it has been hot as hell here in the SE and Charlotte was no different. We had our pictures taken outside at 9am on Saturday morning and already there was little shade to be had. There are a few shots where we all couldn’t stop laughing because a certain family member (who shall remain nameless (but if somebody reading this wants to blow that persons cover in a comment I won’t stop them)) announced that sweat was rolling down his/her ass. I am pretty sure that the photographer was very impressed with us. If you want to see the proofs, e-mail me and I will tell you how to see them. But if you are looking for a good laugh you will be disappointed because all of the the really goofy ones have already been weeded out by the photographer.
We have inherited our first piece of furniture for the nursery. It is a medium sized chest of 4 drawers with a mini closet. Jane bought it for Randy. It was then used for Cindy. A while later it was used by Aunt Judy and Uncle Charlie for their three kids. It has been painted a few times and the most recent paint job was in primary colors for the Cabaniss twins. So it is now back with the Moore’s – awaiting its next paint job. We brought it in the house and kitties had to scope it out. They have no idea what is going to happen to their world in a few short months………..
